The three-day event is running at Finsbury Park in north London this weekend, with Drake headlining Friday’s leg.
During grime MC Lethal Bizzle’s set on Friday, a crowd congregated behind one of the entrance gates, attempting to force their way into the site.
With security guards trying to keep the gatecrashers out, one individual was filmed opened the locked gate, leading to a stampede of people rushing into the festival, several tripping in the commotion and one being tackled by security staff. Watch the video below.
“This was an isolated incident that was dealt with quickly where no-one was hurt,” a statement from the festival organisers reads.
“The perpetrators were removed on an otherwise hugely successful first day. Organisers of Wireless Festival take security very seriously and work closely with ShowSec Security, local police and other agencies to put procedures in place to ensure the event maintains an enjoyable and secure environment for all its customers.”
