Crowd Safety were contacted by the organisers of the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta to provide an audit of the crowd safety and crowd management measures they had adopted for this major annual event.
The audit process served to assist organisers with a third party observation of the current measures adopted and allow an external crowd safety consultant to identify the strategic, tactical and operational elements of the event that held significant risk to relevant persons and others that assisted in the safe management of crowds.
Our consultant was given unhindered access across all areas of the event/production and balloon areas, which demonstrated the organiser’s transparent approach to crowd safety.
Our report was forwarded to the client and was supported by photographic evidence and solutions.
“This was an interesting project, which allowed a focused set of eyes, with extensive familiarity of events, to objectively independently review the arrangements of an event, which could affect the crowd safety in normal and emergency conditions. What stood out, was the clients desire for “warts and all” report as the aim was based on improving the overall safety for those attending and the brand reputation of the event itself. Crowd Safety were delighted to have been chosen as the organisers preferred consultants to provide this service”
