An event to celebrate Indian Independence is run annually in London. The organisers had contacted Crowd Safety after the Local Authority Safety Advisory Group had raised concerns over the documentation submitted as part of the licence application for their event.
At 6 weeks notice, Crowd Safety liaised with the Local Authority/Met Police and London Fire Brigade to provide confidence that they were seeking from an event safety coordinator.
We contracted competent traffic management, event security and fire marshals as well as providing the Event Safety Management Plan and event Fire Risk Assessment.
The event was allowed to proceed after representation from the various agencies had been withdrawn.
An onsite visit from London Fire Brigade/Met Police, Licensing and the Environmental Health had positive outcomes with a safe and successful event.
